Dr Adel Noureddine

I am a researcher and software engineer at the University of East London where I work at the Enterprise Computing Research Group on energy efficiency in data centres and cloud computing. Previously, I worked on optimising software energy at the University of Edinburgh. I graduated with a Ph.D. in computer science from University Lille 1 and Inria in March 2014 on measuring and understanding the energy consumption of software systems.
My research is on Green IT and software engineering. I proposed models and tools to estimate and optimise the energy consumption of software systems, with the development of tools such as Jalen, Jolinar and PowerAPI. Currently, I am working in the EU H2020 EURECA project. I have also been teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels in France and the UK since 2011.
My scientific publications are available at: Scholar, HAL or DBLP. I am also the author of three literature books.
